COMMUNITY-BUILDING

On a monthly basis, the Boston ACE Fellowship hosts a mass and dinner at the rectory of Our Lady Help of Christian Church in Newton, Massachusetts. These community-building events are attended by friends and newcomers who are interested in learning about Catholic education, gathering for interesting conversations with like-minded adults, or just going out for a beer and a football game watch. On several occasions, identified leaders in Catholic education have been invited to give a brief presentation of their work and to apprise the group on current issues for Catholic schools. Past presenters have included:

  • Michael James, Director of the Center for Catholic Education, Boston College

  • Joseph O'Keefe, S.J., Dean of the Lynch School of Education, Boston College

  • Tony DeSapio, Former Director of ACE Fellowship, University of Notre Dame

  • Timothy Scully, CSC, Executive Director of ACE, University of Notre Dame

  • James Miller, philanthropist, Boston Catholic Schools Foundation

  • Steve Perla, Director of ACE Consulting, University of Notre Dame
